Tinto Countryside Management Solutions provides a project management service for clients specialising in access and recreation projects.
We have managed numerous projects including, lowland footpath management, visitor facilities development, tree safety and countryside promotional projects.
Survey & Monitoring
Tinto Countryside Management Solutions is able to carry out survey and monitoring work on a variety of habitats and species, including Breeding Bird and Wetland Bird Surveys, Bat Activity Surveys and Phase 1 habitat surveys.
Duncan has been watching and recording birds for over 30 years throughout the UK and beyond.
Access & Safety
Tinto Countryside Management Solutions can deliver Visitor Safety in the Countryside risk assessments and develop safety plans for individual sites.
We can deliver lowland path condition audits and produce future work plans relating to your path network. We also offer a visitor counting/monitoring service to help you understand your visitor and the opportunities and threats associated.
We hired Duncan to source, install and train the ranger team in the use of people and vehicle counters; this was all done very well indeed. A super service from start to finish.

Training
Tinto Countryside Management Solutions offers a variety of training courses relating to countryside management and in particular with reference to managing the visitor and groups who use your site. We have successfully organised and led training courses and talks for over twenty years including managing volunteers, delivering events, visitor management, bird identification and visitor safety in the countryside. Duncan has also led numerous public guided walks on a variety of topics and delivers lectures on cruise ships around the Scottish coast and beyond.
Interpretation
Working with specialist designers we have extensive experience in managing and delivering Interpretive Design that meets the client’s needs and ensures that countryside visitors are presented with accurate information in an engaging and stimulating way.
We will ensure that your project is delivered on time, within budget and to your satisfaction and most importantly we have considerable experience in wildlife and environmental interpretation with a proven record of successful projects.
